UPCOMING EVENTS

December

Christmas for Kids

First United Methodist Church of Kaufman invites the community to share in making this Christmas a wonderful one for children who might otherwise not have that experience. From now until December 15th we invite you to bring a new unwrapped toy for a child up to 13 years of age. Give yourself the joy of Christmas by dropping off your donation at our church office.

Christmas Concert @ 5:00 pm

Join us for a Christmas-filled evening of virtuosic piano performed by Corey McCurry on December 8th, 5pm at First United Methodist Church Kaufman.

Corey is a degree-holding pianist from the University of Texas at Tyler whose degree focus was on performance. He will be playing a full-length concert of some of the most beautiful solo Christmas piano arrangements ever made, featuring arrangers such as Jarrod Radnich, Joseph Martin and Jacob Koller.

Also featured in the concert is handbell soloist Leona Adams, who will be playing "Jingle Bell Rock" and "In the Bleak Midwinter".

Come enjoy the night and set the tone for the Christmas season.

A love offering will be received.

Christmas Cantata

Join us for "A Song is Born" a Cantata for Christmas by Douglas Nolan presented by the choirs of FUMC Kaufman and UMC College Mound.

FUMC Kaufman @ 9:15 am

UMC College Mound @ 11:00 am

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service @ 6:00 pm

We come together this evening as a community to celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ, the hope that was revealed to the world. We hold on to that hope after a year that has challenged us more than any other.

And it is our Hope to bring the joy and love of Jesus into your hearts and your homes.

                   Christmas Day

Make your plans for your family to help with Christmas Day Meals on Wheels.  As in the past years, we will be asking the congregation to provide turkey, ham, dressing, sides and desserts.  You can find the sign-up sheet in the West Room.  We will also need families to deliver the meals.  Contact Pam in the Church office (972) 932-2838 for more information.

In addition to meals, each recipient will receive a Christmas Stocking made by the Knots and Needles Sewing Guild, along with a bag full of surprises.
