A Mission in Action

Open to all members 18 years of age and up.

A disaster response team that responds to natural disasters locally and out of area.

The Kaufman County Connection includes churches from Terrell, College Mound, Mabank and Seagoville

UMCOR Certified, we are a mission program of the United Methodist Men of Kaufman to serve those in need when disaster strikes.

It's a new day and a new look for ERT.

No longer will we ONLY train for disaster relief in our community and beyond but will change our focus being the "Hands of Christ" to include special needs that exist right here in our community.

On October 3rd at 7:00 p.m., a special meeting is being held at FUMC Kaufman to talk about changes the Kaufman County ERT is already implementing and some new opportunities that will impact the lives of shut-ins and other senior citizens near us. Please make every effort to attend and help with planning this new opportunity.

Operation Ramp- We will partner with Texas Ramp Project who funds the purchase of materials and has a waiting list of about 40 people who have requested their help. Please bring a friend and hear about our new program to assist those in Kaufman County that need a wheelchair ramp to get in and out of their homes. We want to "kick off" this project by building our first ramp on October 21st.

The program is open to all and does not require ERT training.

Hope to see you on October 3rd at 7:00 p.m.
